Standing on a plinth on the ground, it appears as if the crystalline structure of the WTO’s extension building is floating. The glazed cube blends subtly into its picturesque surroundings on Lake Geneva. The exterior is characterised by modern, timeless architecture; the interior by the innovative and flexible design concept. Interior dividing walls that are easy to move enabling individual rooms to be created and changed again, as required. Glass dividing walls and half-height cupboards separate workspaces and meeting areas, while preserving the open and transparent atmosphere of the space. Using Knit One Purl One by Interface with its knitted look, the floor design provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere in the workplace and creates a clever contrast with the minimalist and timeless elegance of the building.
