The 69-metre Tour Total is the first tower building to be completed in Berlin’s new Europacity district. Designed to be tall and narrow for optimal use of daylight, the building, which has been let to the French mineral group Total, looks like an exclamation mark in the centre of the capital. The requirement for innovation and energy efficiency has resulted in the building being awarded a DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) silver certificate. Interface carpet tiles won over Total’s Head Buyer, Pascal Havy, in the course of a comprehensive test phase – and the Equilibrium range was subsequently specified for almost 9,000m2. This modular floor covering’s modern yet elegant design blended brilliantly with the overall concept as well as delivering on durability and sustainability.
